Thank you…

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Tom and company at The Cool Kids of 9-1-1 on Facebook. Since Sarah and I are 9-1-1 Dispatchers I sent an email to Tom making the request to share my story. Not long after he responded stating he would post it. Not only that, but he said he’d post it in the morning when he knows the page gets the most attention. In addition, he also asked his Page Partners to do the same. How awesome is that? But, I’m not done.

Tom also offered to check with Ricardo who does Within The Trenches Podcast and also has a huge following, to see if Sarah and I would be willing to appear on the Podcast to tell our story. Tom mentioned he originally hails from Milwaukee, so he is a fellow Wisconsinite too. I wanted to post this thank you to him and those he works with.

In return, I am requesting you go ahead and click the links to each of their pages, like them, share the content, and support them as well. They have an important message to pass along regarding the World of 9-1-1 Dispatchers. Often we are rarely seen and rarely mentioned, but we are always here. It is not a matter of attention but rather understanding. Most do not understand the job of a 9-1-1 Dispatcher, unless you are or have been one. The same applies to firefighters, EMS, police, and other emergency personnel. The majority of our work is done behind the scenes. There is nothing wrong with this, and personally I like to stay out of the “limelight”, but my situation calls for a different approach.

Again, a huge thank you for bringing attention to my situation. There are many others out there who are in need of a kidney and funds to assist them along. I am grateful for this opportunity and the support.
